Wait......what? If the capped off breather hose is what I'm thinking, than they are you anti-vacuum breather hoses. Or whatever they are actually called.

As gas get sucked out of the carbs, it needs to be replaced with air- or else they become vacuum locked. So those hoses provide the air for that.

these are what need to be capped off now.

You're welcome.I have found that 95% of the GS problems I run into are carb, petcock,or fuel problems. The other 5% is electrical gremlins. This is after checking and making sure the mechanicals are sound.

now as long as it Stays running smoothly for the rest of the season!

I'll find out for sure on Friday when I get paid, fill up the tank and take like a 2 hr ride.

as long as its smooth.
Going to go buy all new hoses for everything fuel and air related.
Just gotta drag my other GS500 bud to go with me so I dont pick the wrong hoses out like I did last week. HAHAHA
and I've used up all my patience with online ordering.
So a store purchase it must be :)

better stay smooth.
My first bike, I dont wanna ever get rid of it.
