Hi,

I have been browsing the site for a while, i have a 2007 GS500F that I have recently got :) Fun.

Put a Screaming Demon M550 Slip-On on it and tomorrow a K&N Drop-in is going on and I got a Factory Pro Jetkit for it.

I have searched for a few threads regarding the recommended jetting for this setup but it seems to contradict the wiki in regards to advice. The wiki recommends 20/62.5/142.5

Please note this is an Aussie bike and I live at sea level.

So here is the question, what jets and configuration do you recommend?

Many thanks to any and all advice.

Kind Regards,

Gibo.

Unfortunately, there is no magic answer when it comes to jetting. What works for one bike can not work for another- even if the bikes are in similar conditions.

Start with the wiki recommendations and just kinda work your way from there......

It's opener there in the wide open air...

It's way easier and cheaper to just buy Mikuni jets instead of a kit.The kits usually have their own numbering system which gets confusing. The dynojet kit requires the carb slides to be modified.I stay away from any jet kit that requires the carbs to be modified.Like BigRich said, what works for one bike may not work for another, even in the same area.I'd get the jets recommended by the wiki and go from there. This is good info from Factory Pro but I don't like their kits. http://www.factorypro.com/tech_tuning_procedures/tuning_carbtune,CV,high_rpm_engines.html
PICS are GONE never TO return.
