18T front sprocket - who did it? share your experience now & discuss

Hello everyone,

i am new to the Forums here. My name is lin. My question is very simple.

anyone ever put an 18-tooth front sprocket on their GS500? Ive seen many people trying 17tooth and 15tooth variations.
In the following thread SAFE-T posted a message that qwertydude put one on his bike without any issues!

Any other experience with the 18-tooth front sprocket on their GS500.

BTW;  I was inspired by this great thread "Adding a Tooth -- Going Up to a 17T Front Sprocket" with more than 3071 reads) lots of experiences were discussed - but they did not go as far - as i will do: They went up to a 17T Front Sprocket. - see http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=21803.0

many many thanks for the posting - am glad that you pointed to this thread!!

i can ´t wait to switch to the 18 T sprocket! 
By the way: I was concerned that the 18 T sprocket probably would come dangerously close to the shift push rod -- not sure it would fit!!" But now i am convinced! Now i am pretty sure that it will fit!


I really look forward to do the change!  to the 18T-sprocket.

Where to get it! ? Note i am living in Europe
