Put new fender on Phenix. New parts always look soooooo niiiice  :icon_lol:

His engine-to-be had the PAIR system removed. Forget who, but I bought the block-off plates from someone on this board.

The parts bike for his engine started the dis-assembly today.

PICS are GONE never TO return.

I like how you moved the reflector up onto the fender itself. It looks like it belongs there, instead of the dangle-afterthought look of the stock arrangement.

SS Adrenaline

Where you were doing the rear break did you figure out how to get rid of the squealling?  lol

Things are looking great, keep it up.

None of our rear brakes squeal. Not a one of all the ones in the West Seattle GS500 Club.
It must be nice that you have a one of a kind musical rear brake  :icon_lol:

The floor is ArmorPoxy. It is a 2 part epoxy floor.
Only chip is when the cement actually chipped.
Taking bike off of center stands, turning when on center stand --- no scraping or chipping of floor at all. This is one tough floor!
Water, oil, gas --- no effect.

Is it super, super hard like the surface of a bowling ball or is it somewhat soft? Malleable?

adidasguy

Well, being in  the bowling business I know the hardness of a bowling ball can vary.

However, it is one very hard floor. It is not soft at all.

Cool! Yeah, I bet that floor would be tough as nails.

Got in 4 more new old stock OEM clip on bars. These are the 1990-2000 bars (2 notches and 1/2" longer than true 1989 bars).
So cool to be using NEW bars rather than used, scraped up ones. Looks like I'll have used bars for sale. Unfortunately, no extra clip & top plates right now. Phenix, Suzi, Trey and Junior all will get their bars replaced with new ones this weekend.
I never thought I would get new bars. Used, straight bars are getting harder to find. Then half of them have the bar end screw broken off. I have a a pile of junk bars.

My 97 has the musical rear brake as well.

adidasguy

Got more stuff of the donor bike. Need to get engine out of it and into Phenix so I can get the donor out of the cave so there is more room for Thumper (when he comes home next week)

Cleaned up some wiring in Phenix and routed the control cables correctly through the front of the frame. Put fluid in  the front brake. Figured I would need a brake now that Phenix is a rolling frame. Need to be able to stop him when moving him around.

NICE!

I so envy the clean-goodness of all your builds.

So clean...

So clean...

One day I'll have that much room  for my projects.

I as well will one day have room like that, but without such a nice floor.  What kind of bar ends are those Ad?
You should make bikes for a living and sell them to GS members...lol.
Though I dout you could part with any of them once your done.

R&G Bar Ends.

Do you like them better then the stock ends?  Are they heavier?
