I've recently purchased a 1990 GS500EL, and it has some broken/bent parts on it that need replaced and I had some questions regarding certain parts that need replaced. My speedometer cluster is cracked on the outside case, it works, but I wish to replace it anyway and was wondering if a speedometer of a 1996 GS500E would fit in the stock mount of my bike. One stock mirror is bent and the other is broken, and I wanted some recommendations on what non-stock mirrors will fit my bike. It'd be appreciated If links of mirrors that would fit were in a reply; however general advice works too. Thanks!

Well that solves the mirror problem, but what about the speedometer? Thanks by the way, the wiki is great!

No issues with the speedo or the housing. They are the same.
PICS are GONE never TO return.

So a Speedometer/Tachometer cover, (AKA the black case thing the speedometer and Tachometer go in) off a 1996 would fit my 1990?

Speedo/tach housing didn't change until I think 2003? When they went electronic tach.
So you're pretty much OK on anything from 1989-2000.
Never hurts to ask if you're not sure.

Thanks for the help guyz! I'll let you know what happens.
