Hi guys, im new here. bought a 1994 Suzuki gs500 a month ago and im loving it :).
Anyway i was wondering if any one knows what type of bulb is in the speedometer? I noticed it was out the other night and i dont want to take it apart and put it back together and then do it again once i receive the bulb so im hoping this saves me a step.
If anyone knows this, let me know.
Thanks Guys
Zach

Replace both speedo and tach with LEDS and you can do the indicators also if you want... Best thing i ever did.. Can see my speedo and tach really well at night and don't loose my night vision cause i went with red (and switching htem to UV soon)

Also, you don't have to take the whole clock apart to get to the bulb, just undo the cable from the wheel that plugs into the back end, and undo the two bolts back there holding the speedo in. Then you can lift the speedometer out and pull out the wiring leading to the bulb. Just grab it firmly by the rubber plug and pull.

Gotta remove the trip crown also...

If you have a manual Tach you can do the same thing.. If you have an electrical tach i wouldn't recommend it because you will probably just break the wire...

True, definitely forgot about that one. Use a tiny screwdriver and take out the screw from the hole in the center of the crown. It's a tiny screw, put the crown and screw in a little plastic bag or something to keep track of it. Thanks numus.
