a goodfriend of mine purchased a lot on top of mccloud mtn in east tn. heswanting a stone house or somehtign involving stone a majority of it. maybe some cedar but who knows. i concepted out alot of it. jsut looking for some ideas . has plans for an infinity poolat hte ledge. ledge beign 2700ft above groundlol. anyways number one in teh pic is his lot. itis cleared mostly. 1 acre more or less. maybe 1.5. anyhooat theedge of it is a rock ledge where i took the second shot from. was 2 ft from 2700ft drop. BUT had to get hte shot. anyhoo trying to get some more ideas firs tpic is one i took from property developers website second is my shot, and third is my living room concept to show hte view. Oh number 2 in first pic is what hte developer called hte million dollar view. almsot 360 degrees of 2700ft altitude views. 60 miles on a clear day in all directions

Your concept shot has lots of specific details in it in terms of style already (particularly with the window casings). Be careful with that.

Does he want a modern house? A modern interpretation of a Tennessee vernacular (my favorite approach)? Traditional? The materials he wants could be in any language.

You can use stone to 'ground' the house and lighter materials above (wood, smooth plaster) as the house above does.

The key would be to get a bunch of images in front of the client (managed and predetermined, not just random like these) to get feedback as to how modern he wants to go with it.

It would be great if he wanted a modern house. That would be most appropriate with an infinity edge pool and lots of wide open wall space (large windows) to take advantage of the height and views. It can be done in more earthy, rustic materials but give more modern open spaces.

Think BIG. Theres no reason there needs to be a wall full of individual windows.
