OK experts, would this be compatable with my 92?  I'm always looking to update and customize a bit...thought this might be a different touch.

Thanks!

Looks like Kawasaki to me, my ZR has the same switchgear.

As to compatibility ?

You might be able to graft your old plugs onto the new wires, and make it fit...

The japs use alot of the same subcontractors for their parts. You find Nissan or Tyoko brakes or Kayaba suspension across all of them etc.

Donno if it will fit, but there is a good chance it will.  There are several folks who own both on here. anyone want to fish thru thier wiring harness?

That switch looks like it has a lever for choke adjustment?  But the SV650 is fuel injected, so I hope it doesn't have a choke lever at all!

The 03 is FI. 99-02 are carbies with manual choke.

What am I, braindead?  It says right there Suzuki...   *headslap*

Good point about the parts sharing.

I can't think of a reason why you couldn't graft it on, I mean wouldn't all the switches have the same result, between brands?

Are the SV and GS bars the same diameter?  Would they have the holes/pins in the same places to prevent rotation of the controls?

sv650 one pictured in link is identical to my 2001 gs500 switchgear. I've seen these in person and they appear to be exact same part.

How, exactly, whould this be an "upgrade".

It looks exactly like the switch on my GS.
Did they switch switches from the earlier GS's to the newer ones?

Yeah the older model's were more square and the buttons different colors.  Plus the plastic tends to turn grey after alot of sun exposure.

You got it James, my 92 has seen a good bit of sun and the switches are the older style.  Like most of us, I want to make my GS unique to me and little updates are right up my alley.  I did the same kind of "updates" on my last project, a 72 Chevy Chevelle.  I always found it nice to come across the true enthuasist who noticed the little detail updates.

Thanks guys....
