hi guys, I'm new here, just got sign in, but ive looking around here for some time know.

so heres my problem, as I'm riding my bike it pulls well and strong as normal but when i get close to the 7k rpm it just seems to stick, OK it does rise to 9k but it takes so long to get there.

its a 92 gs, i bought it some 2 months ago, and it came with a performance exhaust, and a stock air filter. ive already cleaned the carbs and their OK, fuel hoses are new. but when i was taking the carbs apart, i saw that the pilot jet was a 40, and the main was an 122.5 could this cause the problem? if so, where can i find jets for this bike in Europe, or is it cheap to send from America?

thanks

Those jets are almost definitely too small. Search around a little on here and on the wiki for the recommended sizes. I can't help with where to find new jets- but shouldn't a dealer have them?

I used that guide literally yesterday to determine that with my full Vance&Hines SS system and a K&N Luncbox that I needed a 145 main, and 40 pilot jet. I'm not sure what 'performance exhaust' you have, but the table is set up with several. From what I understood through searching threads, the GS was set up lean for emissions control, and that a 122.5 is too small for even the stock pipes/air filter.

I bought my jets from Denniskirk.com by using the part numbers listed in the guide. They had the most reputable site with reasonable prices and ship internationally.

I had the same problem and it turned out that one of my spark plugs was gunked up and not firing. Make sure you check your spark plugs.

the spark plugs cant be because there new, but since i have a stock air filter i think im just going to sick some pods and rejet it, the performance exhaust, is an ixil, i dont know very well this brand. all i know is the it makes more noses then a stock  :icon_lol: i just want to get this thing going like new. thanks guys
