Hey, I never said it tasted good.  But as croutons mixed up with garlic, parm cheese, onion powder and italian seasoning and sprayed with canola oil (to get those things to stick to the croutons) they taste just fine.

Oh, didn't realize you could make croutons?  I like making them and there is nothing better to do with old stale braead than cut it up with kitchen scissors ad bake at 275 for 20 to 20 minutes.

Low-carb bread is tasty if you toast it.

The first goes on a radical diet and loses 20 pounds in a month. the second decides to exercise aerobically, diet sensibly, and do low intensity weight lifting. At the end of the month the second person has lost only 8 pounds. The first person seems to be more sucessful at losing weight. but who is more sucessful at losing fat? Body fat testing might show that the first person has actually lost 10 pounds of fat, 7 pounds of water, and 3 pounds of muscle. The second person has lost 10 pounds of fat but gained 2 pounds of muscle. At the end of the month the first person finds the diet harder than ever because they,ve lost fat-burning muscle. The second person can eat more food but won,t gain weight because they have more muscle to burn up extra calories.

I know he's the guy who believes working large muscles as in your legs burns more fat.  His cook books sell pretty well.

What you said is very true and crash diet people do seem to yo yo back fast this has 1/2 to do with losing mostly water.  After 3 1/2 months I doubt Ive lost all water.  In fact seeing I take diuretics for high blood pressure the chances of my weight loss being water is highly unlikely -that said seeing I hate to excersize I am sure part of my weight loss is muscle.  But I still feel better AND my blood pressure has dropped about 10 points top and bottom after I lost the weight  :thumb: My doc is very happy with that.

sounds like you're doing well John. keep it up. This time of year is a difficult one. I heard an interesting statistic yesterday in regards to holiday weight gain-on average, a perosn only gains ONE pound during the holidays ( I know, I'm killing the average) but more importantly this one pound never comes off.

Eat semsibly and dont worry about eating the wrong things or too many things over the holidays...it may set you back a bit but not stop your weight loss. you really should consider exercising though. Whatever happened to the biking?
