Go to http://www.imgur.com and choose upload from computer. Navigate to where the photos are on your PC and select them. Hit start upload. Once the upload is done, copy the direct link URL from the list. It'll be similar to http ://www.i.imgur.com/xxxxx.jpg.

Press the insert image button from above the text box on these forums and paste the URL you copied from Imgur. It'll look like [ img ]http://i.imgur.com/xxxxx.jpg[ /img ] (without the spacing around the tags, I just did that to break the link so it shows properly as an example.)

Can also use http://tinypic.com/ as an image sharer (It's owned by photobucket).

You MUST have the image up online to post it into the board.

Click the insert image icon and you will get an Image Tag pair

[img][/img]

Select the URL of the image you want. In this example, the icon's URL of http://gstwins.com/gsboard/Themes/default/images/bbc/img.gif so you end up with this...

[img]http://gstwins.com/gsboard/Themes/default/images/bbc/img.gif[/img]

Once posted it will give

If you choose the board logo as an example instead its URL is http://www.gstwin.com/images/logos/gsboardlogo.gif

The code will be...

[img]http://www.gstwin.com/images/logos/gsboardlogo.gif[/img]

And you'll get this...

If you want something that is Yours per se, then get a photobucket account or flickr account or Google's Picasa and use them as an Image Host. The tinypic type hoster I'd use mainly for using an image from another website that may not allow hotlinking, this way it becomes its own image not associated with an account. And I don't need to downloaded to my computer only to reupload it to my account.

Or you can use good ole Facebook.
Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

I thought Facebook didn't let you hotlink.

Exact same as in FAQ, copy the address from properties and paste as per usual. That's how I load my photos.
