Quick Fuel Hose Question - Edit w/ pic

I made my fuel hoses way too long and I'm going to shorten them, but my problem is that there isn't any fuel coming out of the petcock line to the carbs...it doesn't seem like hose length would cause that issue.  Also I lifted the fuel tank up an extra few feet above the bike just to be sure there wasn't any bit of hose that was higher than the tank and causing flow issues and it didn't make a difference.

Could my petcock be bad suddenly?

Here's a quick pic:

bump...gonna start on this today

Tygon yellows and hardens so quickly.  Can you get reinforced neoprene at the auto parts store?

hmmm...i was under the impression that tygon was super-durable and the most preferred hose type?

make sure that the valve on the tank petcock is vertical ( | ) and not horizontal (--)

you can turn the tank petcock 180 degrees and at each end it will be off only at 90 degrees will it be on.

There is fuel in the lines from the tank, just doesn't flow to the line that goes from the frame-mounted petcock to the carb fuel inlet (the T-fitting on the bottom between the float bowls)

Did you remember to turn your tank mounted petcock back on?

If your frame mounted petcock is turned to the 'on' position, fuel will not flow unless the bike is running.  Set it to 'pri' and it should flow.

Yellow Tygon is actually very durable.  Not sure how much heat it can take, but my fuel lines are Tygon and haven't melted yet.  They are also surprisingly flexible after about 4 months.

Just don't make them so long that they touch a hot part of the engine and they won't melt.

Good to know RE: durability.

The tank petcock is definitely on (set to the | position) and as stated in my last post there is fuel going into the lines coming out of the tank it's just not flowing into the hose that feeds the carbs.

I need to shorten those lines anyways, but again I just can't visualize physically why long lines would cause the fuel not to flow.  I suspect that it's an unrelated issue..

switched the hoses at the tank and fuel flowed right in.  i think it's just that the tank is low on fuel and i was only getting gas from the reserve spigot.

A semi-related note, those lines look supersweet.  That neon makes the bike look crazy.
