What's needed to mount those rear pegs?  I like the look but being creative with a reciprocating saw and welder is not in my skill set.

GI_JO_NATHAN

Yeah I hear ya. The best (strongest) way is to have a piece of metal welded underneath the top frame tube to bolt them to.

what would i need to get that modified top plate with clipons to work? does it look the same as the 89 or euro spec clipons?

GI_JO_NATHAN

Basically you have to lower the tripple trees over the forks about 1 3/8", and install the clip-ons over the forks, of if you have an E you can install them under the top tripple clamp. Or you can cut off the ends of the top-plate, and only lower the bike like 3/4" or so. They are different than the 89's. If you want some that bolt up like stock get the 89's. I wanted to lower my GS some to make it easier for my short legs, so these were perfect. Here's a pic of what they look like on.

I was hoping they were like the 89 setup. I like the clean oe look. I should concentrate on the suspension first but I'm an opportunistic hunter.

GI_JO_NATHAN

Yeah I hear ya. I like these because they're more adjustable. Not all of the oe clip-ons fit on the F.
