Left driver foot peg/heel guard bent?

I have been having trouble with my left driver foot-peg/heel guard assembly. After, my accident on Saturday it has been sitting angled back, see pic. I originally though that maybe the bolts had been tweaked causing it to sit angled. Now I took it apart, the bolts are straight, the mounting bracket is straight. The only thing I noticed is that the bolts are threading into the frame on a slight angle. Does this mean my frame got bent? If so what are my solutions for fixing this?

My 02 had the left peg bent back like that when I bought it.  I got a couple long socket head bolts and nuts and screwed the bolts in the frame holes a half inch or so and locked down the nuts tight against the frame.  I then heated the frame just to the left of the bolts with a propane torch and tapped the socket heads forward until they were sticking straight out.  Worked out well.  Frame is sheet metal with lugs welded to the inside for tapped holes so locknuts are to make sure you don't knock the lugs loose inside the frame.

Yep, just bend it back.  I didn't use heat, lots of muscle.
