I hate carbs

So i bought carbs with a so called stage 2 jet kit off ebay, even though ive been told they dont make it, im sure they are jetted with somthing. :dunno: . but they dont run very smoothly so im thinking the carbs are dirty because when i excel. it it choppy at first but then will take off fine with a little more twist of the wrist. aslo when trying to keep the same speed when going under 45 the bike is makeing it sound like im moving throttle(spelling, im tired) back and forth, kinda surging. so i was wondering about how hard it would be to take my original carbs that were much better looking on outside and just swapping the jetting parts, sense i havent taken bike carbs apart before i dont know what im getting into and would like to get some feed back first please please please, thanks ya'll.  and ya know someday everyone on this board should drive out here to Ga. and we could all go for a ride!  thanks,

in general, rejetting carbs is, IMHO, the easiest upgrade you can do. for me, the most time consuming part was taking out and reinstalling the carbs (all the hoses and such). take a look on the front page under "modifications" to see how to rejet your old carbs.

the bogging down sounds like your engine isn't getting enough fuel. before I rejetted, my bike used to do that before it was warmed up completely. of course, whoever messed with the carbs didn't know what the hell they were doing. (all sorts of wrong adjustments.)
