Are the intake manifolds from E and F models different?

Or more specifically 95 and 04?  I bought a set of 04 (i think) intake manifolds and it seems like my carbs won't "snap" in to the little ridge on the intake manifolds.  I can push the carbs in to the point where they bottom out, tighten the clamps and they can easily be pulled out.  Seems like they should be more secure than that.

Yes, the 01 and newer 3 circuit carbs are 1 mm larger in dia than the 89-00 2 circuit carbs.  You need the 89-00 manifolds for your 95 carbs.

Thanks.  The 01 plus intake mainifolds must be a little shallower also.  Diameter doesn't seem to be a problem.
