A FREE GS500?

There is a local ad for a 2001 GS500 with clear title, for free if you pick it up.  Non-running condition and apparently some kind of problem with the forks, but I've made contact with the seller (giver?) and just wanted to brag a bit.........hopefully this works out as I've been needing a new project.

Could be good. I got a free 2006 engine from a free ad - guy just wanted it out of there because he was moving and didn't have a GS500 anymore.

Well it wasn't a scam but somebody beat me to it.  She said she gave it to the first person who emailed her.  I must have been 2nd.

yea...basically with deals with that, you need to have craigslist alerts going to your phone, cash ready, and immediate access to something to haul a bike with.

I thought of this thread today, it's a right place at the right time thing.  I was standing next to a coworker today while he was talking on his cell phone.  His brother was on the other end who is getting ready to move and told him that he doesn't want to bother taking his old dirt bike with him, see if any of the guys at the shop want to take it.  I'm sure it will be a steaming POS but I have a free dirt bike coming my way!
