Hi all. I'm a little stuck.

Here are the steps i have completed;

Removed ignition rotor cover
Removed ignition rotor
Removed 13 bolts from the casing
Removed 1 bigger bolt from the casing (near the bottom)

Now i am trying to pry the case off, but nothing. I have hit it furiously with a rubber mallet, pryed at it with a screw driver. spent a few hours, now i'm lost.

Have i missed something in regards to it still being bolted on etc?

Thanks

Anyone? Surely someone who has removed the clutch cover before can shed some light??

I'd check the fiche and make sure you got absolutely every bolt. Other than that, I don't have any ideas... I've always been able to remove a stubborn cover using a rubber mallet. Only cover that usually gives problems is the generator cover, due to the magnets.

Possible a PO did something stupid like using JB Weld to deal with a leak?

What burning said, all I can add is be careful with the screwdriver, its easy to damage the mating surfaces. Maybe the locating dowels have corroded and are jamming it

BTW...  Just pulled my clutch cover a couple nights ago... There are two bolts under the signal generator that are easy to miss. You have to pull the pickup to get to them. Make sure you didn't miss em; clutch cover should come right off after all the bolts are out and you beat it a bit with a rubber mallet. Shouldn't even have to pry on the tabs... Just grab and pull firmly.
