Hey all,
Been away for a while.

I am having some annoying electrical issues:

First off I have Dominator headlights. I just replaced the battery.

For a while they where going dim and pulsating with engine revs. I started my bike today and the lights did not go on. I noticed a faint flicker from the high beam indicator with some RPMs. They did decide to light up with however when the high beam switch was on.

I had to get to work and on the way home my left light went out and the other one continues to work when the high beams are on. I think my left light has been blown now.

I am thinking I am having a voltage regulator issue. When I bought the bike from a previous owner, he did tell me the battery had been jump started with a car and the car was on! I am worried this has messed up my electrical bad.

I am hoping its a simple fix, such as a fuse, but most likely not. I don't want to blow the other light out.

Lastly I dont have a voltage meter to run many of the tests I should.

Thanks

Start with easy stuff... the bulbs probably have two filaments, one for high beam and one for low. Maybe the low beam filaments are burnt and you just need new bulbs?

Yep that was it. no more flicker of the highbeam indicator. the old battery must have burned them out.

thanks for the help

Check your voltages. I had a regulator go out. Symptom was blowing headlights. Voltage when revving was over 18 volts!
Replaced regulator and now around 14v where it should be and no more blown headlights.
