Compatible clutch lever

OK, I replace the brake lever with a nice adjustable one that is black (not that funky carbon look). Looks cool.
I want to replace the clutch lever to match. Adjustable is not the issue, but to match in appearance it would need to be an adjustable one from the same company (even thought I don't need the adjustable feature).

What other clutch levers are compatible?

Paulcet

None are compatible  with the GS perch, to my knowledge. But you can replace the whole perch and lever with one from another bike.

Browsing the bazillion levers on a couple sites, where they list compatibility I came up with this list so far. Some are from different parts due to black or silver or slight differences in the lever length, etc. as the GS500 seems to be black in 1989 and silver after that. Similar to brake levers, you can find lots of cross references and we know all GS brake levers are compatible whether adjustable or not. I'm open to suggestions for adjustable brake and non adjustable clutch if they are plain black (I can find red, silver, gold, blue and that crappy carbon look) and match in appearance.

Sort of searching where I find X matches GS500. Then find that Y fits X therefore Y also fits GS500..... and so on.......
Or XX matches the 2009 GS500 lever. Knowing that matches the 1989 black GS500E lever, search down that path based on 1989...... and so forth.
I suspect it eventually comes down to not that many different fittings but a lot of different colors and handle styles (amount of curve, knob on the end, etc.)

Here is a partial list of clutch  levers I found. There have to be more. I can't imagine everyone custom designing a clutch lever for every bike:

Suzuki 1983 GS550 ES
Suzuki 1984 GS550 ES
Suzuki 1985 GS1150 ES
Suzuki 1985 GS550 ES
Suzuki 1986 GS1150 ES
Suzuki 1986 GS550 ES
Suzuki 1989 GS500 E
Suzuki 1990 GS500 E
Suzuki 1980 GS750 E
Suzuki 1981 GS750 E
Suzuki 1982 GS1000 G
Suzuki 1983 GS1100 S Katana
Suzuki 1999 GS500 E
GS500 2001-2002
GS500E 1990-2000
GS500F 2004-2009
BANDIT 600S 1996-1999

As long as it mounts and pulls the cable, that's OK. If it comes down to the notch on the bottom of the lever for the safety switch, a Dremel can notch that out pretty quick.

And if  you can suggest a perch so I can have matching black levers, I'd buy one right away. Think about it - there are so many compatible brake levers, the same should hold true for the clutch lever.

UPDATE: Did more searching, and found this one. It is really screwy when compatibility lists are in the parts. Evert list is like a partial list. The best example is we KNWO that all GS500 1989-present and compatible:

Replacement Lever Set. Comprising one Brake Lever and one Clutch Lever.
Matt Black
To Fit the Following Models:
  RG125 Gamma/wolf
GS500E L 89            <----- note only some GS500 years are listed? No doubt due to color, NOT fitting on the perch!
  GS500F K4 04
  GSF600 Bandit s-x 95-99
GSX750 Unfaired 98-99      <---- Faired or unfaired? Probably just color, again, silver .vs. black

It sure would be cool if we could compile a compatibility list of the GS500 and put it in the FAQ's.

Sorry I didn't read all of the above post. But I just went through this and I ended up putting an adjustable lever and perch from a EX500. I think it was like 94 to 03 or something like that. Works perfect. I had to mod it a little to work on mine but you may not have to. I'm also running an adjustable brake lever from a kawi.

Do they have a brake lever also? I dont think i would want them mis-matched. Im looking for a black set also w/o painting mine.

I bought from them. They have more. You can get in red, blue, gold and silber as well as black:

Clutch levers are the hard thing to find. BikeMaster does have matching brake levers.
