Is the TPS critical, and does it affect our bikes in a bad way?

looking at the TPS, and reading every TPS on here, still dont have an answer.

On older bikes, the ignition advance works, on newer, it dont ( I did it, but after the initial "it feels better to me, I undid it and it felt the same").

Would removal of the TPS, and the possibility it would go to 2d mapping instead of 3d mapping, make the older ignition advance trick work, or would it do nothing at all?

Im fully convienced that this thing is on my bike to help it pass emissions, and not to make it more rideable. I want to just unplug it to experiment, but dont need my bike to start pinging or something.

Any ideas?

Thinking of getting of the tps and making a nice block off plate.

Trying to clean up the bike. All ready in the process of getting rid of the rats nest of vac lines except for what I need, getting the lunchbox, and moving all the electronics and battery to the Y section of the frame that half the airbox was behind.

SHould clear up the rear of the bike nice, the batt will be lower and more mid-bike, so better CG, and everything electronics wise will be mid bike, so remove sea and easy access, No need to remove the tank

Well, guess im removing it ( unplugging) and hoping for nothing bad... Ill keep my ears open
