I'm keeping the GS, and will be working on it this winter, but I bought something else that my wife and I can both actually ride on!

It is so completely different from the GS it's ridiculous. It's HUGE dimension wise. I haven't killed it yet but the torque makes the clutch work a good bit different. It's a lot slower in corners of course, but I would say it's faster than the GS in straight line acceleration, due to all the torque. But, it's far comfier on the seat, I have huge saddlebags, a trunk, and a nice radio. The suspension actually supports me(it has air ride on the rear). So I'm happy!

The GS will be my commuter, around town rider, etc. I think. I guess we'll see how much I ride the GS now...

Congrads on the new bike. It is very very different from the GS in almost everyway. In 2000 I sold my Harley and swore off motorcycles. Now here I am years later with a new GSF

I have to say that I enjoy riding the GS more than the Harley because it is easier to run around town and on the streets, but nothing beats a Harley for the highway and cruising with your woman :thumb:

Have fun

Sveach - I think you should get another pic, that motorhome has hidden your new bike.

Is that a Road King or a variation of a Glide?

Nice find. A HD dresser the most surprising bike I've ever ridden. Like an addict, I go to Shaffer's HD in Orwigsburg PA about once a year for a Demo Day. I'm a Grad Student, so luxury bikes are a long way off. Still, I want a HD, if for nothing else, to check that bike box.

The Dresser rode smoother than my Toyota and the windshield kept me warm on that chilly April day. The most surprising thing was how it handled. It looks huge and heavy (it is) and impossible to turn with any quickness. Yet, when we got to a twisty part of the road where all the Buell's dug-in and shot out, I expected the Dresser to fight me about the apex and insist on lumbering.

Nope. Over it leaned and held an unexpected aggressive line. Another turn came and she didn't protest at all. Tip, hold, and follow though. She's no motoard but neither is she a box-truck!

Find a corner and have at it!

Congrates on the new bike.  Did the wife beat you into submission to get her a more comfortable seat or did you always want a big a$$ bike?

LOL  It does feel like a motorhome compared to the GS, especially when I take the fairings off the gs!

BrianKD - it is an Electra Glide Classic. It does ride very smooth, and it's fantastic on the highway. I can easily get up to 70-90 mph and not even realize it. It vibrates at idle pretty strong, but as soon as you get moving, it's smooth. I have a buffeting issue at highway speeds, but it's apparently a common problem so I should have that worked out before too long.

Porkchop - Both, kind of. My wife was getting pissy that she couldn't go riding when it was nice out. Everyone in my family rides Harleys and they can all ride for longer than I can, more comfortably. So I've been wanting one for awhile, just couldn't afford to drop $20k. She told me I needed to buy a bike we could both ride on, and after a few months, I ended up with this one. I was going to get a Road Glide, but they didn't have any models with a price point I liked.

One thing I do find amusing - I've been looking at lots of accessories, and holy bejesus, everything is expensive! I will be shopping carefully in order to get what I want but not pay the HD premium!

The super sized harleys hold their value - its called "super value" for short - no I am not kidding, and they hold their $ cos there are no clones. The anybody can build a clone part is what killed the HD resale market.
BTW harley chrome is made in china ... all of it, they are all the same and the chinese have well, cloned it.
Ebay that crap. It will cost you 1/2 shipped compared to the ones from the HD dealer, and well its the same part.
