Was drivin home with motorcycles on the brain as Always !  :thumb:

Got wondering if I buy metal pegs, is it fairly easy or easier for your feet to slip off then the stock ones?

Just a safety issue that popped in my head as I do follow what I learned in the safety course and  pick my butt off the seat for a big bump or something in the road.
and I sure as heck dont wanna be in that position and have my feet slip off the pegs.

so anyone ever have a problem like this?

would hate to do all this work over the winter and have this happen and wipe out is all.

I've never had that problem with my GSXR pegs.

Got three sets of these on my GS500 and GS425 and never had any issues with slippage or weight handling.
They do fade to a lighter red over time. The ones on my GS is now more red then deep anodized red but I've had them for 4 years now. They are cheap so I could just order another pair if needed.

I'm pretty sure most metal pegs are textured to keep this from happening. Not to say all of them are but all of the ones I've seen are.

i've been using the ones on wiki:

can be had here:

no slippage at all. they are smaller than stock pegs(what isn't??) but they fit my foot perfect and have never let me down.

they aren't very forgiving if you catch yer leg on them though. usually get a little scrape on my inside of calf, from walking the bike in and out of parking..

wouldn't ever change back to stocks. might get some better ones when i get rearsets, but for now it was a cheap, easy, and awesome mod!

if yer binders ain't squeakin, you ain't tweakin!

you just saved me the trouble of hunting a red pair down now :) hell yeah!

appreciate the replies & links.

yea I just recall doing that a few times growing up on a bicycle.
feet slipping off the pegs and WHAMMM! right to the ground all tangled in the bike.
I cant even imagine the damage of that if it was a 400 pnd motorcycle!

which is why I had to ask, ty
