So Who thinks I could attach a pop-up camper onto the back of my GS500f? :D after I clean the carbs of course... :)

I'd attach the bike to the back of the camper, and the camper to the back of a truck. Then after you've set up camp you can go for a ride.

It's definitely possible.  Practical may be another story.  There are trailer hitches available for cruisers, like this:

I'm sure you could adapt something to fit on the GS's swingarm.

I wouldn't do it, but that doesn't mean you couldn't try it.

You could probably tow a small MC trailer if needed, but any pop-up camp trailer of any size that would be usable is obviously totally out of the question, post a photo of what size you are thinking of.

Like this?

Even this thing's 1000 lbs (pop-ups are actually quite heavy too). The GS would struggle with even a small MC trailer to carry your tent and bags... bad thing happen when trailer weight exceeds that of the pull vehicle. The tail wags the dog. Not safe.

Kinda like this... Its just a trailer with wheels and an normal tent ontop, of course I'd fashion up myself the trailer but build it around the tent.. Lol sounds crazy. but its either a popup trailer tent. or a Side cart. any ideas? I think a side cart would be very cool on my GS500 it would give the GS500 some newer/old style.

mister

For what purpose do you want this trailer?

See Clancy's post here http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=58268.0 of his GS500 in Tour Mode. Looks like...

If you Need more stuff than you can carry like this, maybe you should take the car. You can carry more than enough stuff in this fashion without needing a trailer. Like noiseguy said, when the trailer is heavier than the thing pulling it, danger be there. Loss of control can ensue. Death can be the result. Not a good way to finish the day.

This is the lightest one I saw. 155 lb and 4' x 3', so if you're OK sleeping in the fetal position, or a midget, or both. I'm not sure the GS500's big enough to carry this at highway speeds. You could change sprockets, of course... you OK with a max speed of 55 MPH?

You'd have to change this box to a long and thin one. This Thule model is 5' 5", so if you're short it would be fine. Otherwise you'll need custom.

Frankly, I think you're crazy to pull a trailer with a GS500... the design compromises you'll need to make for the trailer (size, weight) and bike (lower top speed) would make it not worth the hassle... you can just put a tent on the ground and save yourself a lot of hassel. But I've seen all sorts of crazy stuff in the 3rd world... if you were picking up bulky crap from parts unknown, I could see the logic (say, piles of dead motorcycles pulled at 25 MPH home.) But for what you're talking about? Nah, I don't see it.
