would say this engine would be good swap candidate for teh gs. BUT no, i take that back it is no better than the gs' except for the " im to lazy to shift" option. but when riding i prefer the manual. for 2 1 panic stops.

Only has 47hp. That's less than the GS with nearly 200cc smaller engine.

GS500 - 1989 technology, 487cc and 52hp
NC700s - 2011 technology, 670cc and 47hp

Think I'll stick to my GS - should be a sheetload cheaper too  :thumb: Though I do like the look of it.

aye. even tho its weak, powerwise, hell its a scooter engine. if power levels could be boosted, ti would make a NICE swap candidate Eh?
