because there seems to be less traffic/threads in here than there use to be. Are people out riding their bikes or have they sold them and moved on? It seems to me that there are about 12 regular posters on here and the threads have slown to a snail pace.

So I would like to do a roll call.

Please let us know where you are with your GS......... :dunno_black:

Steady riding.
Broke down
Laying it up for winter
Tearing it a part

I'm steadily riding my bike. I live far enough south I don't think I will have to stop during the winter. I would have made few post recently with question I have had but using the search feature correctly has prevented me from doing so.

Maybe everyone else is using the search feature and all questions have been asked?

Maybe we should start a "What oil is the best" thread?

Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

If you can feel the wind in your hair... you need to put a helmet on.

Steady riding  it will need to do some maintenance soon.

Keep my bike ready for those freak warm days that happen every few weeks.

I'm getting the drift :)

Still riding daily.

Should lay it up for the winter, it's cold here in Md, but i'm holding out for one or two warm days before Christmas.

I put it away for winter while I gather supplies like a gsxr 750 subframe and tail fairing for an epic tail swap  :thumb:

Yea...cold weather isn't fun after a couple hundred miles.  I'll ride every week for a bit when it is 40s or above. Do a little wrenching too.

I'm sure the spring will bring the usual threads:

Best oil
Change oil
New Battery, which one
How do I clean my carbs
Is this a good price
what should I upgrade to
Tires
Valve check
Look at the 5k in mods I did to my GS
Hate to let her go, but I got a great deal on a Busa

and last but not least:

GSJack will tell us how he just went over 300k and the valves were never out of spec for the last 100k

It snowed here today, my baby is safely tucked away for the winter, see you in 6-7 months :(

I may not post very often but i do read this forum all the time.  Im gaining knowledge befor i start giving advice to others on the forum.  I get hard core winters here and my bike is put away for the winter.  Its now snowmobiling season so I have been working on that.  I am fairly certain that I will keep my GS forever so as time goes on I will be a more active member.  Cheers boys and girls.

Broke down with a leaking base gasket.  Will take this opportunity to have the seat recovered.  Might install a voltmeter and a new speedo sensor as well. Hope to have it up and running in a couple of weeks.

Still here! I read daily and post when I can.

I'm commuting daily here in PA. I don't break for winter, only icy roads. Just got a pair of KLIM insulated GoreTex snowmobile pants, so I'm very ready for the cold. Bring it on! Last year I rode down to 10F, so I'll be a little more comfortable this winter.

Fortunately I live in a place where it doesn't get very cold, so I'm still riding.

tialloydragon

I don't post a whole lot to begin with, but I am still riding.  It's in the 40's here in Pennsylvania, and I am going to try to continue riding until the first snowfall.  I just have to layer up more than normal.

I'll try to ride as long as I can, which may not be much longer because I live in V.A.

Work and school are only ~20 minutes away from me, so if it's above freezing then I'll ride. :)
