got an even better deal with a seller on ebay! 2.70-2.30 in increments of .05, including the 2.35 the other guy didn't have. for ~120 shipped!

$100 isn't bad, especially when I calculate the cost of my time to go find the correct shims. Figure the hour I spend going to the store costs a load more than the price of the shims themselves.

Yep....the whole idea of getting a "kit" is so you have them all right there in front of you when you need 'em......   You can start and finish the job all at once...don't have to stop, order shims or go get shims, and come back later to finish.  Also nice to trial fit different size and get feeler reading.
