I have a bobbed tail on my bike and want to fab up a passenger seat, Question is how difficult is it to do a tail conversion? I have my eye on either  a gsxr 750/1000 tail or a sv650 tail. Has anybody on here done either? and If so has anybody done it with a wire feed? or is tig my only option?
Before someone says use the search I have and haven't found too much... aside from this:

servus,

i think, the rear end is too long!

shorter is looking better. my opinion.
If anybody else has done this just cutting and drilling and bolting on, how does the width a gsxr750 or 1000 subframe fit compared to the gs frame?? and any tips?

slightly modded 09 Gs500f
pro taper contour handle bars
sv650 headlight
gsxr750 forks
sv650 tail
gsxr wheels
two brothers slip on (gsxr 1000)

dgyver

Level of difficulty is relative to your ability and tools available. To me they are not tough, just time consuming.
The frames are steel. Mig is the easiest, that is what I have.
Common sense in not very common.
