if your unc. and grandfather had it,  but neither one of your parents did, honestly i would not worry about it. ive had it goin on 20 years now. havent lost anything/or use thereof. neither do any of my siblings have it.

I am an AB+ as well, and they still like me to donate because they always have better results if they don't mix blood types in transfusions.  Technically, I could accept a transfusion from anyone, but they would still give me AB+ blood if they could get it.
