Struggles to get to 185.

I find that on my Busa I can get to about 185 and she is out of steam.  That is with a helmet on.  If I ride without the helmet then I can tuck in a bit deeper and usually hit 192-194 with relative ease.  Just be careful.

Sounds like you need to do the "flux capacitor" mod.  Or you could always add a few aftermarket powerbands to get that extra bit of HP

Ghost, I'm on that one right now but winter air is very difficult to come by in Central Florida, I just ordered a tank of it from a company in northern Minnesota, it should be here any day.

craig, can't afford any power bands at the moment, things are a little tight. As far as the flux capacitor, I was thinking I could get with Buddha and pick up a rebuilt one.

Oh almost forgot... add some talcum powder to the inside of the tires. It will help balance the tires but will also create more momentum which means more engine power can be used to generate increased speed instead of maintaining existing speed

You forgot to use helium in your tires ~ this reduces sprung and unsprung weight at the same time

Also, cut large chunks out of the frame to make it lighter. Less weight for the same engine power should give you more speed

Change the speedo for MPH to km/h. That will fix the problem

Paulcet, that speed tricks article reminds me of the April fools piece about cleaning your drive chain with a banana peel-----I can almost guarantee that someone, or maybe a lot of someones, actually tried it.
