I went to look at an M50 tonight, and would like some input from you guys.

It's a 2007 with 10k miles. Apparently original tires (the rear is beyond its useful life), slight "cupping" on the front. Slight scratches on the rear fender (I think the owner or PO strapped a back pack to the sissy bar). No apparent fork seal leaks, or leaks of any kind. Seemed to run nicely for the quick ride around the block. I got it up to about 55 mph. Started quickly, idled well. Seems to be unmolested except for possibly de-baffled exhaust. Valves have probably never been adjusted. Oil in the window is pretty dark, but it is about 3 months old with "not many miles".

Attachments: The pillion back rest mentioned above. Saddle bags. Cheap highway bars with JC Whitney-type pegs attached.

This is ENTIRELY different than what I am used to. I touched down on the highway bar making a left turn. My GS can get WAAYYY over and not even drag a toe. I am looking for something like the M50 to ride with my wife on the back.

So what do you think it's worth? Any other thoughts?

Look up the retail and the trade-in value.  Right in the middle is probably a fair deal, if everything is working right.

Keep in mind, the dealer probably offered below trade-in value, if he could find one that would take it at all.  Good luck!
