Anyone have any ideas how to do a DIY job for clear plastic? I'm starting to do cosmetic work on my GS500f and I'm turning it into a cool cafe racer styled bike. Something that hasn't been done before! :D but I need to build a custom wind screen. I can do fiber glass, but no idea how to do clear plastics. Just clear no dye coloring.

Cool website...

someone said earlier vacuum forming......I think "blowing" is the way to go as it requires less fixturing (molds) and it keeps the plastic optically clear and free of distortion.

Any way you do it...it involves a lot of work and a lot of equipment....sometimes better to find something already formed and adapt that.........or go to somebody who produces windshields and canopies commercially.

Thanks cookie, actually I was thinking about that too ^_^ a little trimming and cutting wouldn't nearly be as hard.
