If your bike had it's wheels solidly fixed in line with each other you could lean the bike and/or yourself in the direction you wanted to go until you fell over and the bike would not turn.

I think, Phil, we are in agreement, just that our own individual interpretation of what Slow is, varies.

In the video of the GS and of the police bike, if you lean with the bike you will go over. The counter leaning is what enables more stable handling at those Slow speeds. And while it is not Greatly used in the real world, it is a practical skill to master cause you just never know when you need to make your way through some stopped cars or tightness in a parking lot.

Above those walking speed Slow turns, yes, lean with the bike.

Our main disagreement is - you think learning about counter-leaning for walking speed slow riding will negatively impact your normal riding, whereas I say it will not. Just like countersteering and directional steering do not come together, neither will leaning and counterleaning. You intrinsically know when to use both after you learn both. Your body is smart that way.

Yep ~ learn which one works best for which speed and use it regularly and your brain will develop the proper neural pathways to your muscles so that you eventually reach a level of unconscious competence and apply the correct technique when necessary without having to consider what you should or should not be doing.
