"What is this magical bike?" you ask.
It is a 1989 CB400F, aka CB-1
But with a difference.

The stock CB-1 was a cool little bike but with a lack of horsepower.
This bike on the other hand has plenty, thanks to a CBR600F3 engine that has been squeezed into the frame. (Hence the CB-1.5 designation)
This is not a makeshift hack job but a well thought out conversion.
I spent over a year and a half building this bike, and I had a head start from the guy that conceived the bike but didn't have the time to finish it.

Here is the nitty gritty:
CB-1 frame modified to accept the F3 engine with the proper support.
F3 carbs nestled between the frame rails and an F3 airbox that fits under the stock tank.
Wireharness modified to use the TPS the F3 carbs come with, correct temperature sender installed to work with the new gauges.
Full race stainless headpipes with a Ducati 1098 muffler
2007 CBR600RR forks with radial calipers and gauges from the same model.
F3 wheels front and rear with proper sprocket alignment.
CBR900RR rear shock with ST1300 spring. I will also include the stock CB-1 shock as well as the stock CBR900RR spring. The shock was rebuilt at the time the frame was stripped bare to be painted.
Wet weight is 406 lbs, rear wheel horsepower is 94.

More pics on ADVrider, and it's for sale!  $3500 (salvage title)
