Had to go there...

but srsly. We got a big happy warm state.. And we ignore each other like the red headed step child... So maybe when it warms up, and you all know its kinda chilly right now :D we should either ride together somewhere, or meet up somewhere. Bring your kids, wife, dog. Who ever rides with you. And get Slurpees! < I am a huge slurpee fan.. but in all seriousness.. We should.

I'm not a racist, some of my best friends are you people.

I'm located in Orlando/Kissimmee area, right on the boarder. Funderb lives close to you ojstindson if I recall correctly. But I am still in riding distance of ocala.

If I ever win a lottery I am moving to Cape Coral and buying another GS500. You can join me on rides to watch AMA Superbike racing at Daytona and World Superbike/MotoGP in Texas. Plus the obligatory quasi-annual ride to the Blue Ridge Parkway / Deals Gap / Cherohala Skyway and the rest of the Smoky Mountains :)

In the meantime I hope you remember what a bunch of lucky lucky bastards you are ~ it's going to be -33 Farenheit here tomorrow.

Funderb

I'm moderately close, I'm from jax, but am regularly in tally. I've seen a few gs500s here in tally, but i dont know that any of them are familiar with this site.

toogoofy is near you. You two should get together and wrench.

Dizzledan

She's got the special 'Cursed' edition of the GS. It seems like it's working fine one day, then it totally craps out. Not to be confused with the standard model, which only craps out when you want to ride.  :technical:  :icon_lol:

xunedeinx

Tampa here.

Thats the problem, lots of people on here from florida, just different corners of it.

Its a big state...

numus is in Tally.  But he's got a Katana now.  I'm in Thomasville, GA, with his old GS500.  If I can ever get it running right, I'll happily come ride with y'all!

I am way down here in Fort Lauderdale. I always wanted to do a Florida Keys run, but when and where would you have in mind???

J_Walker

Well Florida is one of those places. where either way, someone with the most time is gonna be needed, cause depending on who wants to ride. Florida is really a long state, so travel time is needed. to get from My area, in Kissimmee to Dade is like 4 hours. but I HATE driving in dade, so I wouldn't wanna go threw the city at lease. Maybe @ghostrider_23 I could ask my aunt if I could stay with her for a night in Miami, - would require me going THREW Miami tho. I'd really like to ride to the keys with the girlfriend tho, Maybe around valentine's day if it isn't to cold we could work something out. she's never been to the keys before. I have tho. and I think it would be a nice thing to do. Its crunch time for me to get my bike 100% working without no problems.. :/ Its somewhat fine with me by myself. but when my girlfriend rides sometimes it likes to act up, just doesn't like the extra weight and together we weigh like 260 pounds..

Come on all what's your input???

J_Walker

Bump.

Also Ghost, are we going all the way south, the end of the keys basically? or are we gonna stop and turn around, if your not sure, lemme write up a map on good maps or something. and PM it to you. cause I would like to stop somewhere and swim a little bit with the girlfriend if that's okay with you. lots of beaches in the keys where no one is around. its up to you mostly you live down there. :D I just need to know how much $$ i need for the trip.

nix on the rides pour moi, I'm trying to finally finish school here in tally before I expire. Unless you guys are driving through here or Jacksonville, I'm not a person with much time on their hands.

Afterwards though, I'm planning on spending a lot of time in the south of Florida and Caribbean, but itll be on a boat! I just need to find a place to fit the GS on board so I don't get lonely.

Maybe when I head up to GA we could ride a small bit. If your already not floating around the Caribbean. Good god how much money do you have? to own a boat I know its expensive to pay for fuel..

hahahahaha, I drive a GS that I wrench on myself, not rich.

And the wind is free, brother.

I'm looking forward to riding more than in town, so if you drive through pm me, I could ride for a while with ya. I'm replacing the petcock system on mine with a tee and a yamaha 750 something valve that may fit right on the frame, maybe them i'll trust the fuel system to take me places above 55.

Well, I'm pretty much in the middle of the state and not close to anyone. Anyone going from one end to the other can always feel free to stop by for a break and refreshments---I'm just a couple of miles off I-75.

I usually only take short day trips of 100 miles or less these days.

Cool, Thanks. I'll remember that ^_^ < No beer tho, I can't drink legally, And wouldn't ever drink anyway, the smell of liquor repels me.
