Thoughts on brake pads

I am in the market to replace both from and rear break pads and was looking for some advice. I am thinking about HH in front, but i have heard they can wear your rotor much faster due to them having more stopping power. Not planning on putting HH in the rear.

Found these on amazon for the rear, but they do not have a strength rating, has anyone used them before?

I did, and found a lot on problems with break pads, but none on what people like or the specific pad that I asked about. I can do another and look a bit harder though.

edit: and I have read the wiki, probably like 3 times!

Not to be mean, but did you search for "break" pads?  A break is something you take at work.  Brakes are what stop you in a vehicle.

I use HH ebc front,  Softer at back.  Been a couple years dint give it much thought, rotor wear ?  Not noticeable and I dun care long as the thing stops good.

If you're worried about rotor wear with the HH pads, I don't think you have too much to worry about.  How long are you planning on keeping your GS??? 

I put the EBC HH pads front and rear when the OEM pads wore out. With 50,000 miles on my machine, I'm not in any danger of wearing my discs out. I value stopping ability more than the nuisance of having to replace my rotors someday.

I'm not the average rider who does 4000 miles a year - I'm more like 13,000 miles a year. So, if you're an average rider, you probably won't have to replace your rotors anytime soon.  Get the HH pads and stop with confidence!

I used to turn a brake rotor into a frisbee in about 3 weekend at the track..... until i installed a gsxr front end....dual 4 pots and thicker rotors are a good thing....to save $ at the track.   I was pissed when i did the same thing to a beautiful EBC rotor in 3-4 weekends.....then the front end upgrade was needed to save money....i was running out of GS rotors

I had the same problem going through pads and rotors. I eventually installed a SV caliper and a EBC Extreme Pro pad, and it went away, while providing awesome stopping power. Thinking of going to single rotor with my GSX-R front end.

Bombsquad had an excellent point in that I had been typing "break" instead of "brake" throughout this post. my apologies, and I did not make the same mistake while searching.

New rotors are a lot cheaper than rear ending a new Porsche. I suggest every reasonable advantage available.
