Hey Everyone,
I'm planning of repainting my GS500e this summer.  I've mocked up a couple of potential color schemes, very crudely, using microsoft paint.  I'm gonna try and figure out photoshop so i can put together some better images, but for now, what do you guys think?
The top is supposed to be an english racing green and gold stripe combination.  The bottom is an ivory/vanilla with black stripe combo.  The 212 racing number is an homage to my home area code.  I'm thinking brown leather for the seat.
I currently have an oem headlight cowling like the one pictured and I'll be picking up a belly pan before the painting project.
I'm leaning towards the ivory and black version on the bottom.
BTW, i believe the original image belongs to addidasguy... hope you don't mind me bastardizing it.

Def.  a bike that looks good in anything white or close to it.

I'd go with the ivory and black.
but a brown seat doesnt go well with it imo.
I say stick with a black seat.

Sorry again Addidasguy.   :icon_sad:
Junior's a beautiful bike, but you've got just about the only decent picture on the internets of a gs with oem headlight cowl and bellypan.

Its OK. You did give credit and Junior feels OK after that nice complement. Junior can get in a hissy fit - after all, he's Canadian  Eh?

You can use the picture  :icon_lol:

(I had fun finding all the ranting animations)

British racing green with gold will look great, especially with a nice brown leather seat   :thumb:

Be aware, this is not very wise advise!

So I realize not exactly what you want, but I felt that maybe this will give you a slightly better look at what it may look like.

Again, these are Adidasguy's photo...

Note that the tail section and belly pan are not correct as I did not recolor them from the black. I'm sure someone can do a much better job, this was just a <5 min job.

legnd, that's awesome.  clearly i need to learn photoshop.  i like what you did with the ivory one.  whichever way I go, that's really helpful to see.  appreciate it.

I like that slightly greyer shade of ivory you used.

Green and gold with brown seat is a little too...mismatched for me.  By mismatched I mean it doesn't match the styling of this bike.  I like the ivory and black with a black seat.  Gives a modern classy type of retro look if that's what you are going for.  Would be even more awesome with a set of black spoked wheels.

Makes me want to do a john deere gs500...

Didn't monster garage do a bike build with a tractor motor?

Or was it OCC?

PJD did a farm themed bike for DeKalb.  That's the first thing I thought of when I saw those colors too.

I dig the ivory... very retro cafe. I'm about to paint mine white myself. Here's my Photoshop stolen photo. I have some Suzuki decals coming in the mail for the gas tank.
