Got pics of repeat offenders, found out what times they rode (guess it was back and forth to work)

And, caught them.

Just pay the damn toll.

I use toll roads only when making abnormal trips into the city.

Nothing regular.

My neighbour is a cop so I'll ask him what the deal is if "only using it when not on publici roads etc"

That's why they can Fine you for having an obscure plate.

And Cods... before you go getting yourself one, do remember your rego label has your number plate number on it too? You'd better hope the multiple cameras don't get that otherwise they'll zoom in and get you anyway.

If you're going to consciously do the wrong thing by using this to avoid tolls, why not just remove your plate, carry it with you and if you get pulled over say it fell off and you'll reaffix it when you get to work. Or just put someone else's plate on and ride - if you get pulled over for a plate check plead ignorance that the plate must have been swapped by someone.

Not that I recommend doing such things, just saying, that if you are going to knowingly do something wrong, why not do it properly without spending extra money to do it either.

I dont need it anyway as I dont go through tolls and I never do anything illegal anyway
