Hi all just want to post a pic of Srinaths handlebar installed,  I got the bars today and took me about over an hour to installed  coz I didn't know that I have to drill a little hole for the tab on the plastic assembly. (maybe I could have just shave those off but those act like a lock to hold the assembly in place).

Just wondering if I need to shorten my front brake line since it is now too long and you can see that from the link below.  Also how can I replace the locknut inside the old handlebar? coz i would like to still install the barends to the new handlebar.    Overall I like the feel/setup  look like a quality product, very heavy and the paint is not bad at all,  ohh yeah  I  left the mirrors to find out if theres still usefull and tomorrow I'll find out how it rides. :)

am i just seeing things?  i've read about these bars in other threads, and i guess i didn't realize they had a rise in them.  i don't really know what i was expecting but i guess i was thinking they would be more like the sm bars. how much difference is there in these bars and the stockers?

The fairing is a GIVI A750 works/looks great on the bike,  I added a picture with it on it.  FYI, the picture of me on the bike has the old handlebar.

ahh....i'm seeing it now.  they look great and so does that fairing.  i wanted one of those but they were out of my price range.  how is it with blocking wind?  doesn't look like you have too far to lean to get under the slip stream, and maybe with the new bars you are already there.  looks good, great bars.

They look well made. Maybe I should put an order in. I can't stand my damn drag bars their killing my back. Super shitty for cruising. What are some prices for those or maybe to go back to stock bars? How hard were they to install, I'm a lil intimidated by that project.

$50 including shipping for the bar. I am down to the last few not sure how many, checks are on the way for some of them. And they are easy to install... Once you shave off the plastic nubs. I had drag bars, and Gino recently swapped drag bars for these... ask him about the difference.
Cool.

Nice bar!  :thumb:  BTW anyone of you guys have the clip-ons???
It is not good enough to say that we are trying our best. We must succeed in doing what is necessary.

Well my 89 does. My 91 does not... and these were made to feel just like the 89's... well the fact is they do not... they are ~3/4 inch lower, and 1/2 inch wider than the 89's - these actually have to be wider... cos the 89's have all sorts of clearance issues. But other than that... they feel just like them only more solid. And no you can't fit these in place of the clip on's unless you swap the whole assembly over.
Cool.

Guys:

I had the drag bars before and I can say Shrinaths  bars are far more comfortable and less stressfull on wrists. I would recommend them to all
of you.

I am doing fine. Still working issues with my future ex wife??? I'll love to switch out prototype for the real thing, however for now I am in job hunting mode. My Army tour in Columbia will be over in Feb 04. So right now I am in Atlanta in a job hunting conference. If anyone out there knows of any one looking for a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Elec Engineer with Military Experience in Comunications (signal) and Fiber Optics expertise let me know.

Talk to you soon

No hurry... I am having some accounting issues with them... some people have dibbed on it and I dont want to drop it cos they haven't sent $$ yet... just keeping it straight. BTW I hate that Prototype... I'd never own up to making it ... without a gun to my head...
