This manual is better then no manual and this one is worth the price you pay.  There is a service manual that is more detailed but the Haynes manual is fine for most maintenance requirements.  If you need more detail on how to do something, you can always ask the forum.

I just bought one from GSTwin which posts them on Amazon. It was worth every penny.
Its really simple, but detailed. I find it easier to have a hardcopy.
Great investment.

I have an 07. Does it matter if I get the 89 - 02 manual or should I opt for the later one?

04+ have different carbs and electronic tach/speedo, as well as the oil cooler. there are going to be some differences, albeit minimal, but that free online manual will cover almost everything you'll need. anything else you can check online for and ask here about.

Whatever motorcycle you have, find a repair manual for it for free here http://www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp

Hit F3 on your keyboard and do a word search. Some bikes will have something like GS500, others will be GS_500 (for example).

You should find what you're looking for. And it's free.

I've got an '09 F model, but the most recent model coverage I can find in a manual is for '08.  Were there any significant changes between the model years, or was it just redesigned plastics & color scheme?
