Well, the question wasn't necessarily power but the mixture. I was making the point that a more free-flowing exhaust would make it run better as well. Not necessarily make more power.

Kijona, you just contradicted yourself (or maybe I misunderstood). When I think of an engine running "better", I think it makes: more power, smoother power delivery, creates less heat (friction and wasted energy), etc, etc.

Drag pipes don't serve any real purpose to me since I don't drag race.

It's running so rich as-is that opening up the exhaust would cause it to run a bit leaner, not necessarily better, just better than it is currently.
