Bought my '07 for $1500 last fall, tempted to sell it.

If you can feel the wind in your hair... you need to put a helmet on.

Rydar

Yeah but that second one is a used car place that's trying to sell an offhand motorcycle.  In hawii.  Dealership prices are typically higher than a private seller.  Bro on craigslist is probably dreamin.

jestercinti

Here's another $3000 GS.  Not as bad as the first, but the pizza guy ran into the back of this one  :dunno_black:.  Only in Ohio:

Man they are even expensive for Australia. What a ripoff 12000miles and damaged get fu*ked :icon_twisted:
I am not interested in anything you have to say
Don't bother talking to me, I will not answer you

SgtBatten

Haha. Yeah I was just about to chime in and say that you Americans are bloody lucky with your prices

From what I have seen of those craigslist links you guys post, with a few exceptions like these of course, Aussie prices are more like double yours and our dollar is better to

When my gs is perfect, and its time to sell, its going for 3000+, esp here in FL.

Someone will buy it.

:D The cheapest 'F' on sale in Finland seems to be 3500€ ($4600), 2005 model with 21000km. And it's a private seller. The most expensive one is -04, 30 500km with the pricetag of 4500€.

That's why i got myself an 'E'.

You know what's funny OP?

That's MY ad.

I've gotten an offer for $2750, but I'll come down on the price. I was really just testing the waters to see what I could possibly get.

Do you guys think the fairing damage is really that bad?

Dresnewtoy

Hey Rayson, nothing personal against you, or whoever the seller would be. The fairing damage is pretty bad i think. I'b maybe fix it or remove the fairings altogether.

However, like i said in another thread, your bike is worth whatever someone else is willing to pay you for it.

Good luck my friend.

rayshon

Yeah I was trying to wait to see if an OEM one would go on sale, or if I could find one off ebay but I haven't had much luck.

It didnt look that bad to me but I guess they are to others so I'll probably have to replace them or lower the price even more.

A little unrelated, but when I clicked your youtube link of you riding it this was a related youtube video on the side; I've watched this video several times and this crash mystifies me for some reason, aside from his bad line its as though he gave up on the turn right about the time he passes the hydro pole...and it appears that he pulls the clutch in at 0:21 and doesn't release it until well after 0:30.  An odd crash.

I just watched this crash last night. Watched it twice out of amazement. Must be a total noob I think with zero confidence. Also not looking through his turn.

Edit: Also - Is it me, or does anyone else think that the Go-Pro helmet/bar cameras seem to invite terrible things to happen like this? People might push things too far for the camera I think.

Well, if there's no camera and someone falls by themselves, it's not really gonna make the news is it (unless they get seriously injured or die)?

I don't think the camera induces it, I just think that's the only way you're gonna see it.

If you focus on the handle bars,  it looks like he doesn't understand the countersteering concept. No bueno.

Watevaman

Looks like target fixation to me. He started to look through the turn but when the bike went to the outside he glued his view to the left side of the road and that's where he went.

he wasn't looking ahead of the turn, only at what was immediately in front of him.

Got to look through the turn to see where you'll be coming out of, otherwise you won't be able to adjust your speed and correct your line.

That was just inexperience anyway.  Weird how he just pulled the clutch in for 20 secs like that lol.
