Now that we're on one of my favorite topics (BEER), I'm actually relieved to hear that Fosters here in the states is not a true Aussie brew. When I was younger and not very brew-savvy, it was cool to try "imports", but to be honest, never really cared much for Fosters. I did, however, really develop a taste for Tooth's Sheaf Stout back in the 80's. Wonderful stuff!

i fell for the australian for beer Buddha Loves You.  but even so i had seen hte made in canada thing was like wtf. " fosters. australian for beer Eh?" ahhwell, bought one. that to date has been the ONLY beer i did not finish. i MIGHT drink 4 beers per year

ive MADE homebrew better than fosters. ( @ almost 13% Alcohol to boot) a tad harsh but hey lol

Try the Belgian Piraat. Like an IPA on steroids! Stateside, my current favorite is Flying Dog's Raging Buddha Loves You. It's also a Belgian-style IPA at close to 12%. I would drink that stuff by the barrel if I could - I kid you not!

Me too! Piraat and Raging Buddha Loves You are ALL about taste... if you like hops.  Octane is merely a bonus... That's why I won't drink commercial swill. I'll take a well-brewed, honest product ANYDAY, all day long!
