I got that FZR that I was asking some qs about. I figure, if I can get it running, it cant be to bad of a deal.

52k miles, a pretty old bike.
I paid 500 for it. I think I paid a little too much for the condition of the bike after taking it apart.
Gas tank has been creemed, its been wrecked god knows how many times. But the frame is straight, the headset is tight, the forks are straight. Bits need replaced, but who cares, i bought it to mess around on and maybe track day it.
Cool stuff:
V&H powerpak ignition. whatever that does.
performance jetted. Dynojet, but the slides haven't been ruined.
D&D pipe, way too loud.
Super duper coils n plug wires    ?

After cleaning the protozoic organisms from the float bowls, and spending many hours cleaning the jets, i got her started under her own power, not just starter spray. She idles pretty well, shifts, and rolls a few feet. Not legal for the road. I may need to go around the old ass to get to the elbow if I want a title.

Anyone know how to title a bike in fl if the title holder is unknown? I checked the NIC database, not stolen or junked.

Heres the pic and vid if anyone is interested.

Theres a little smoke, I didn't have the compression tester handy, but i was also revving it pretty high in neutral like a dumbass, dont flame me or anything, I know its not good, but its got 52k of racing, so I probably cant kill it in the back yard.

Edit: yes i have it hooked up to a boat tank. It works really well for the application. shes got a fuel pump! :D

Looks pretty cool and sounds angry too.

But, who is that ugly guy screwing with your bike in the vid?  :D

Good luck on the title, that can be a royal PITA.

It does have a pretty fâché note to it. Its a little loud for my sensitive ears.

I know man, he shows up every morning and I just can't seem to get away from the dork!

Thanks dude!

hahha, thanks twisted, glad to have someone on my side.

Took her up and down the block today, rides straight, forks are good, but lefty is a little leaky, $10 fix. no prob.
Brakes are retarded good. A little stumbly on idle takeoff, but I think pod filters will fix that. (aka, there is not any air filter element on the bike currently.  :technical: )
Still leaks coolant. no surprises there.

You know, one of these days, I'll post a pic or vid of my gs500......
