I don't know if anyone remembers but I was the guy with a 93 gs.  I couldnt get it to charge.  It now charges as if it was brand new.  It is...  I took apart Carb floats and cleaned out the jets with a broom straw.  The carburetor looked pretty clean.  However there was what I assume had been a copper vacuum tube?  Anyway I jb welded that back to the carbruetor.  Put it all together and it was running fine.  It's still running ok.  However it is jumpy.  Getting worse.  I am thinking about putting new jets in.  I am also kind of not happy about the k and n lunchbox filter.
However other than the bugs wich I will work out I really like this bike.  I can't wait to get my new tires "pirellis demon" so I can lean this thing over.  I have also been wet sanding and buffing.  It's getting better but I may have to eventually paint I was trying to keep the blue sparkle in the original paint.  On the way are new brake pads front and back.  New clutch and brake lever.  Motocross style handlebars.  Grips.  Tires.  Maybe jets and or a stock air box.  I will post pictures  but photobucket hates iPad.  I have to fire up the pc.   Any thoughts or comments?  Even if you want to yell at me.   I.e. " you jb welded what!?!?!"
