Howdy Ya'll!
I'm hopefully getting a gs this weekend (93 or 97 are the potential bikes :thumb:) and I couldn't tell you how excited I am to be officially apart of the forum! Now I can even play in the picture game... :D
Anywho, wish me luck with getting the bike! I'm in the chicagoland area during the summer and down in SO. ILL. during the school year. If your in the area PM me!

Thanks!

Hey, I just purchased one last weekend. A 91. It took me a few weeks to find one in my price range but I was specifically looking for a gs due to my height and how the bike fit me. I haven't ridden it yet, decided to clean out the carbs and do some basic maintenance on it before riding it since it had sat for over a year.

Good luck with picking one up!

Nothing like some wrenching on a bike you haven't ridden yet.  :cookoo: But when youre done... :woohoo:

Welcome to the forum to both of you! There is a ton of great information on here, some you just have to search a little harder for!  :thumb:

Lol yeah I know its crazy but since I don't have a free weekend anytime soon to get the msf course done I figured I would clean the bike up and get it running well so I have the bike ready as soon as I have the course done. I've bought plenty of cars that weren't working so I am used to having to do some wrenching before even getting to enjoy the vehicle.

Welcome.  I'm in Bloomingon/Normal, IL.  Good luck on getting your bike.  Hope it's in better shape than mine was. :)

Thanks everyone for the open arms. I knew this forum would be kind.  :)

ruifrsilva: Sounds like fun to me. I wish I knew more about cars, but I'm learning as I go. The MSF course is nice. Where are you taking it at? The one down south in Illinois is actually looking for instructors. If I had more riding experience I'd have my application submitted already.  :icon_rolleyes:

bombsquad83: That area is a nice place. I've worked on a farm up there in Hopedale. Maybe you've heard of the place. I sometimes pass through bloomington when I'm going home from school or vice versa.

cbrfxr67: Trust me, as soon as the bike is mine you will find a post full of pictures  :icon_twisted:

Btw, anyone else hate the waiting period in between when you email a seller and you're awaiting his reply...  :technical:
