Bike is in Great shape and a perfect starter bike!500cc, only weighs 397 pounds! It also only has 7553 miles on it! it has a zero gravity windsheild, a yoshimaura exhust, and blue lights underneath that turn on and off by toggle switch. I will even include a Bilt All weather cover, an HJC Helmet that has a button on top and sun glasses pop down, and a brand new battery charger!! My ex and I split 3 months ago, so I am now a single dad of a 3 year old and have not ridden it since!!! it just sits there covered up. I just recently cleaned and lubed the chain.. I will also even include the chain cleaner, lube and brush. I just can no longer ride anymore, being you cant strap a 3 year old on the back!!! This bike is my baby and I'm just trying to sell cheap to pay off some outstanding debt that I was also left with when we split!! This is a VERY good deal... I promise you I dont want to sell it; but just seeing it sit there, and being in debt at the same time, is no fun! its a hot looking Bike!!!! And I am throwing in hundreds of dollars worth of extras just so this will sell quick.
When my little girl gets bigger, I will be buying me a new bike....but of course not a sport bike... O.B.O also.. but ccant come down much because of all i got into it!!!

It all depends how it was stored... bikes like these are usually not ridden because the owner got scared.  Notice the the right side cover has lost the suzuki emblem, and has light scratches. 

Probably put in the garage and never rode it again...

So like I said, depending on how it was stored, it needs a good carb cleaning, and there is possible rust in the tank.  Also, you can count on replacing tires, brake lines, and fuel lines and changing the oil and filter regardless how it was stored because I can about guarantee its all original.  Inspect the air box and muffler for signs of critter guests as well... I also would have been due for its initial service, so I would question if that had been done.

Bikes like these are usually never ready to go like they seem.  There is several hundred more dollars and a bunch more time to spend after the initial buy before they are truly road ready....

I know this because I bought one myself, an '04 with 2.5k miles, and had sat for at least 2 years... it looked ready to go, but I knew what needed done going in.  All that gave me plenty to negotiate with, and I got a great deal in the end.

Thanks for the mail.  The bike was not wrecked. It was at an auction and they provide a bill of sale. I bought it for a few specific parts and am selling the rest to recoup some of my costs.  It was not crashed. It looks like someone tried to steal it as they cut the harness and tried to wire around the key. The speedo has 11k miles on it. I did not try to start it prior to disassembly.  The forks are fine. I cut the frame in half to remove the engine so that's gone. This is a lot newer style that you 92. If you are interested in anything let me know the part and your offer. Thanks

I have GS500's and projects through 2009 so year doesn't matter and 90% of parts are compatible across all years.
So no frame. No engine? (it can be removed in 5 minutes without cutting the frame.)
You mentioned it had been painted so that kills the fairings and tail plastics.
Probably forks, gauges (if not trashed), rear shock. Extra turn signals are always handy in the  parts bins. I prefer the 01+ ones over the 89-00 style.
I'm overloaded with wheels at the moment so no need for those unless cheap enough to keep them from going to recycling.
I have a couple spare tanks so I'm good there.

Maybe let me know what parts you are keeping from it and I can think of what's left that I can use?

Seems everything but the engine is available. Seeing if I can buy the remaining carcass and part out everything to people here that need fairings, wheels, forks, etc. also asking the condition of his prior engine. Maybe it has a usable head. Then I can give someone good head.

Update: a reply of what's available. Seems the entire bike? 
asked what he kept as now I am getting suspicious that it is parting out a stolen bike. With the frame cut to get the engine out - hence no frame and VIN.
Still, if all is at a good price then I could go for it.

Another inconsistency, he says 'My bike has a repaint' referring to the one he's getting rid of, but wouldn't 'his bike' be the one he got the parts for? Maybe it's nitpicking, but I don't think most people would word it like that.

Since he claims to have a bill of sale though, you can always see if that's valid/recent. Would it least have a color and year or something other than the VIN on it?

Definitely a chop shop parting out a stolen bike. Heck - look at the list of parts available. It is the whole bike minus the frame. No one would cut a frame to remove a motor.

I'll pass. I do not feel comfortable in this parts bike. Frame cut to take out motor? Why? Ignition looks like someone tried to steal it? Bought at auction for parts - yet all bike parts are listed for sale! He didn't keep anything?

I have '2' 2006 Suzuki GS500F the black and silver one has 12xxx miles but its locked up i was told it would take about $500 to fix it and i have the title. The plain black one does not have a title it has 26xxx miles but it needs the carbs rebuilt but runs . its not getting enough gas to stay running thats why i was told the carbs need to be rebuilt its about $100 to fix it. Then i have the 1994 Suzuki GS600F i have the title it has 19xxx miles i dont know anything about it i traded but the guy said it ran about 18 mouths ago it looks to me like all the wires, plugs and hoses are there i need them all gone as soon as possible if you have any other questions call or text (850)530-5515 and ask for Erik Thanks. No. I didn't say anything. However I did post on pnwriders.com wondering if anyone was missing a 2008 GS500 and a link to the CL posting. I only mentioned I felt uncomfortable about it.

Weird that he says he bought it to use some parts. Then all parts are available. And the frame was cut to remove the motor. If you weren't keeping the motor, why bother removing it until you had a buyer? Yep - things just didn't add up.
