Some jackass flicked a lit cigarette and stuck to the side of my cheek (helmet shield open) in the dead of night on the highway.  Watched in slow motion as it hurled towards me.
Bikeless and Broke at the moment...

I was around 10 or 12 and on the back of my dads bike when a bug flew directly into his mouth doing around 45mph, he then proceeded to vomit off the side of the bike and due to aerodynamics all over my leg.

Yeah that was gross.... what the hell are you doing riding with your mouth open anyways!

Had my worse one last week. Was out riding in my new super moto style helmet(joe rocket hybrid, with no shield and wearing a pair of goggs) managed to catch a bee in between my goggle and cheek. Stung me once before I could get him out. Luckily I'm not allergic and it was just a little guy

I have another one I almost forgot about.

When I was about 16, I used to drive around a lot with a scooter. One day, a hare crossed my way and I ran over it. It was liwe that stupid thing ran along for maybe 2-3 secs and suddenly turned left under my front tire. The scooter went ..bump...bump... .  Scooter OK, hare dead. :(

Dragon flies were by far the worst, but I once rode through a swarm of grasshoppers. Bumblebees come in at #3

Scariest thing was a 4 x 4 block of wood, about 18" long.  I was following a car too closely.  Thought for sure I bent a wheel or destroyed a tire.

The splat thing was a raccoon. It was one of a pair I saw running perpendicular to the road.  One made it, the other one was fatter and slower.  I think he hit the trailing edge of my front tire and the rear took him out.

when I first started riding on the street I used to ride with just a T-shirt. Well going down the road I drove through a swarm of bees. One ended up down my shirt and stung me.  I never rode with out a jacket after that.

Driving my xr650l down the beltway in DC a rollback truck dropped a 6x6 off the back. fortunately it hit the road and never bounced so it was flat when it hit me/I hit it. The bike jumped the timber and felt like it cleared about 6 feet. Lost both my shoes and one sock cause I was wearing loafers like an idiot. If I would have been driving a street bike I am convinced I would not be talking about it. Thank God my xr650l had about 12"of clearance!

I also had a deer jump over me during an enduro in WV. She got frightened by all the noise andjumped clear over me from one side of the road to the other. Fortunately we cleared each other so that one doesn't count.

Bird attacked me on the freeway. Going about 70-ish in lane #1. Darned bird broke off my mirror, which hit my hand, which bent a ring and hurt like an MF, and my hand swelled up to about double-size!  :icon_eek:

This was on the way to work in the morning, and I had doubts about being able to use my hand to ride home, but iced it and (wo)man'd up.  :icon_mrgreen:

I get blamed for EVERYTHING around here!
:woohoo:

mister

Had a magpie swoop me as I neared an intersection. Little TAP on the helmet.

Waiting at a set of lights to turn Across the traffic a car coming the other way through a bottle at me! It smashed on the mirror. Otherwise it would have hit me.

Younger, silly ,, dirt bike days. Riding in flip flops, no gloves, no helmet. A bee got caught on my hair. I grabbed a handful and yanked up, didn't lose hair and the bee got away. Helmet from then on - by no visor so bugs in eyes in stuff yeah.

Used to ride a motorcycle till I took a dragonfly to the knee.

Fricken hilarious  :icon_lol:

I can't wait to get a bike and be hit by things going 70 mph...Sounds like a good time!  ;)

it's definitely a part of the experience.

It is best to avoid said obstacles if at all possible. Our soft gelatinous bodies tend to mold into whatever shape hits us hard enough, this tends to be quite unpleasant in practice..

Hmmm, lets see

Piece of tire size of a softball in the shoulder at 45mph separated my shoulder OWOWOWOW!  Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be then a couple of miles later my ring and pinky finger went numb! Pulled the bike into the ER they were surprised I kept Flick up. Gear saved my butt that time!

#2 on my birthday no less! Riding out to Melbourne beach bee got caught between my neck and jacket stung the krap out of me. Next day it swelled up to golf ball size my doc says I'm allergic and next time might not be so lucky.

#3 riding into church had the visor up with my Oakleys on Florida grasshopper nailed me in the face I run into church. One of the church members was concerned about me (because of my heart) and followed me into the bathroom. I looked back and she threw up another lady came in after her saw the throw up and she threw up! I felt bad for our custodian  :embarassed:
