I think the GS'es air cooled motor will be a tough nut to FI to any real advantage.
The head temp on a air cooled bike has too wide a range to gain anything over a properly jetted carbureted bike. Can someone correct me if this idea is incorrect.
Cool.

I have heard similar things about heat issues from others. I am looking into it to see just how much it would cost, mostly for a project simply for personal enjoyment (what can i say, im a young aspiring engineer. haha)

When i said not sv's what i meant was no V twins. I looked at the birgman and throttle body setup looks promising.

The set up of the fuel injection system on the versys is the best i have found (as far as twin designs go) Thanks for the lead.

right. temp plays ALOT in this. plus have to have an 02 ensor, AND a fuel pump that can keep up wiht the needs of the bike. if he can get that set up it can be done :). but will be interesting. kinda like the turbo gs we remember here. and hte gsxr gs. ( buddha remembers this one) had thetwin inner cylinders off of a gsxr put in place of hte gs'  cylinders

Ok next question is how many air cooled parallel twins are out there with fi? In the v twins we have the 2 valve ducatis.

The Kawasaki EX500 (Ninja) and EN500 (Vulcan) were carb.  Same engine, different chassis.  Both had carbs and were liquid cooled.

At least I think that those were the model numbers.  Only on coffee cup #2 this fine morning  :icon_confused:
