I'll be out of site for Tuesday most likely as my "boss" is around.  Coming out to spend the day with me, tell me how bad the company is doing bla bla bla.  Probably tell me how happy he is with me (I hope) and basically hang around and be a pain in the butt.

Not used to having a boss looking over my shoulder. :(   This sucks.  I hate these visits every two years.  Yea, I said every two years.

When I got out of college I became a sales engineer for a start-up company outside of Boston.  My job required travel in the NorthEast about 3 to 4 days out of the week, and most of that time was spent in a car with my boss.  My boss was one of the biggest jerks I ever met, and half the time we were in the car he was on the phone with his wife threatening to leave her and their newborn son or just shoot their dog  :guns:   Other times, he was abusive to me, to other coworkers and even our customers  verbally & physically :x
While most folks in the company were either let go or quit (like me    ) he was promoted because he kept kissing up to the right people :?
Now that I've got everyone sad, let's be happy that John only has to put up with this once every 730 days or so  :thumb:

I used to have a boss like that, too. He had 100% turnover in his department per month. I was the last to go, because I just didn't want to give him the satifaction of forcing me out and winning (whatever it was). When they asked me if there was anything they could do to keep me, I just said no. When they asked me why I was leaving I just gave his name.

Uh, did things not go so well with the boss?

Hate to jump the gun, but I think I hear The Mommas and The Papas in the background.  ("California Dreamin'... on such a winter's day.....")

Best of Luck, John.
